IFIAR EWG Meeting | Tirana, Albania

The Albanian Public Oversight Board was pleased to host the face to face meeting of the IFIAR Enforcement Working Group (EWG), held in Tirana on 27–28 May 2026.

The meeting brought together EWG members for constructive discussions, exchange of experiences, and information-sharing on key topics related to enforcement and public audit oversight.

Among the topics discussed were:

• Appeals and due process
• Audit market diversity and SME firms
• Determination of sanctions
• Ethics, integrity, and professional conduct

We sincerely thank the IFIAR secretariat and the members of the Enforcement Working Group for their active participation and valuable contributions throughout the meeting. Special appreciation goes to the Working Group Chair, Blandine Gardey De Soos, for her leadership and coordination of the event.

It was a privilege for the Albanian Public Oversight Board to welcome colleagues and counterparts to Tirana and to contribute to strengthening international cooperation in audit oversight and enforcement.
